  • Teachers are fully trained and regularly mentored.  Training is ongoing and all staff at JJ’s Music School have been interviewed, trained, CRB checked and have enthusiasm, experience and passion for their subject
  • Students learn in age and ability related groups
  • Ensemble playing increases listening skills
  • Solo performances within lessons increase student’s confidence
  • There are opportunities to improvise whilst other students accompany, gaining chord playing and timing skills
  • Students learn how to read music in interactive games
  • Students develop composition and arranging skills
  • At the end of each book, students can take exams through Trinity College/Guildhall.  Grade 6 and above carries UCAS points towards University applications.  Grade 8 is equivalent to an A level
